Russell Brand: I’m the New Easter Bunny
Always up for each and every type of role, Russell Brand is set to play the beloved Easter Bunny in an upcoming comedy called “Hop.”
Chatting with E! Online about his new gig, the “Get Him to the Greek” actor told, “I’m going to mess with people’s lives. I’m going to own Easter. And you know who the last person to do that was?…Jesus!”
When asked if he was saying that he’s the new Jesus, Brand continued, “Yep, I’m the new Jesus! [Laughs] Or I’m the new Abraham! I’m the new Moses! I can do anything. I’m the new Easter Bunny and I s–t Easter eggs!”
Distributed by Universal Pictures, “Hop” will be in theaters on April 1, 2011.
